Full Wheelchair Accessibility at Aggie’s Oasis

November 19, 2015   |   Melissa (admin)

Aggie’s Oasis is an absolute cracker of a property – in my humble opinion.  It features full wheelchair accessibility in all its forms.  I had a great chat with the owner, Maureen, and she filled me in on how the property came to be.

Aggie’s Oasis is named after a special young woman, Aggie, who was born with a genetic condition leaving her fully dependent on others for all of her needs. Aggie’s disability does not define her. It is a part of who she is but it is not all of what she is or wants to be. Aggie loves holidaying with her family and friends, shopping, movies and swimming. She also loves butterflies and pink and purple are her favourite colours.

In March 2015 Aggie’s family set out to create a place on the Sunshine Coast that could truly provide “Holidays without Limitations”, a holiday that people in wheelchairs could only dream about. ‘Aggie’s Oasis’ is this place. It has been designed by her family with unconditional love and respect for her and also many others like Aggie that have a right to have luxury, quality holidays.

It’s beautifully designed will full wheelchair accessibility in mind.  It sleeps up to eight people – two master bedrooms (one with full ensuite), one with two single beds and a 4th bedroom that adjoins the main fully accessible bathroom. Open plan living with great outdoor areas allows wheelchairs to move freely around. The accessible pool set in landscaped gardens, fully equipped kitchen, formal and relaxed dining and lounge areas allow guests to have a relaxed and well-supported holiday.

They’ve even got you covered for transport.  There is a fully equipped, wheelchair friendly van available for hire to make getting around the coast that much easier.

You can fly into the Sunshine Coast airport, be picked up and whisked away to the lovely house nestled in a quiet court that backs onto extensive bushland, with paved walking tracks alongside the creek with water birds and abundant wildlife.

If this is the escape you have been dreaming of get in now for a Pre-Christmas getaway.  Maureen is offering some special rates in the lead up to Christmas to celebrate the property and listing it on CanGoEverywhere.com.au.  Contact her via the website here.
